Board Members

The LSS Board of Directors is comprised of: the Executive; three representatives from each year of study (if the President is a 3L, then there will only be two 3L reps), elected in the fall; and representatives of DBLSA, DALSA, and the MLSA.

It has been a longstanding initiative of Dalhousie Law School to reduce structural and systemic discrimination by increasing the representation of Indigenous Blacks and Mi'kmaq in the legal profession. In furtherance of this objective, the LSS holds two seats at the Board level for representatives appointed by the Dalhousie Black Law Students' Association (DBLSA) and the Dalhousie Aboriginal Law Students' Association (DALSA). A set is also held on the Board for a representative of the Multi-Disciplinary Law Students' Association (MLSA).
