LSS Board of Directors
THIS PAGE LISTS LAST YEAR'S (2010-2011) BOARD OF DIRECTORS. UPDATE COMING SOON.
LSS Board Members are elected by the general membership during annual elections held in the fall. The Board is comprised of 3 representatives from each year of study except in years where the President is a third year student and the number of third year Board Members is consequently reduced to 2.
It has been a longstanding initiative of Dalhousie Law School to reduce structural and systemic discrimination by increasing the representation of Indigenous Blacks and Mi'kmaq in the legal profession. In furtherance of this objective, the LSS holds two seats at the Board level for representatives appointed by the Dalhousie Black Law Students' Association (DBLSA) and the Dalhousie Aboriginal Law Students' Association (DALSA).
