Credit Cards No Longer
By Published on: Saturday August 29, 2009
I just wanted to quickly remind you that Dalhousie University will no longer accept credit cards for tuition and residence fees as of September 1st. (You can read more about it here.) If you would like to use your handy VISA, MasterCard, or American Express card to pay your fees, you must do so by Monday, August 31st on the Student Accounts website.
I have attached the Law Fee Schedule for your reference. Full-time law students pay $6,443 in the fall and $6,072 in the winter, for a grand total of $12,515 per year. You can view your fee assessment using Dal Online and clicking "Web for Students" > "Registration" > "Registration Fee Assessment." Select "2009/2010 Fall Term" in the drop down menu. Your winter fees will not be assessed until December or January. However, I have confirmed with Student Accounts that students are permitted to pre-pay their winter term now. This means that you may pay the entire $12,515 tab now using your credit card. (I did. That's a lot of points!)
Of course, you are always welcome to pay your tuition using a cheque, cash, bank account direct payment, etc. This notice only pertains to credit card payments.
See ya soon!
