CANS
What are CANS, and how should I use them?
CANS - Condensed Annotated Notes - are a valuable resource for students looking to supplement their notes or obtain a quick overview of specific aspects of a course. These notes are prepared by students and drawn from their experience and interpretation of the course they have taken. Notes are usually available in Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat formats depending on what a student has submitted.
The LSS provides access to CANS as a means for students to enhance and simplify the learning process. The LSS does not make any warranty with respect to the accuracy or helpfulness of any particular set of CANS. Rather, we simply provide access and allow individual students to review and contribute their own CANS as they see fit.
It should be noted that the first resource students should consult with respect to course material is their course instructor. CANS are not a shortcut from reading course material and are certainly no substitute for a Dalhousie Professor.
In short, caveat emptor!
To Access CANS
CANS are available on the LSS's Blackboard Learning System (BLS) Community. All students at Dalhousie Law School have access through BLS.
1. Log in to my.dal
2. Click on the "Learning Resources" tab
