Square Booking

A Square allows societies to take payment for tickets, clothing, etc. via card. Societies are able to book the use of one of three LSS Squares:

  • A phone plug-in for a headphone jack (older iPhones, androids), capable of swipe function​​

  • A phone plug-in for a charger port (iPhone 7 or newer), capable of swipe function

  • A Bluetooth terminal, capable of performing contactless (tap) and chip functions

To book the Square (to be completed at least 3 business days in advance):

  1. Consult the Square's calendar by clicking on the calendar icon below. You will be required to sign in to a Google Account, and click "Add" in the pop-up box to view that calendar. Do NOT attempt to book off a time in the calendar, as this will only book it within your own schedule.

  2. Once you have chosen a time that is available, return to this page and click on the Square image to book.

  3. Complete the booking form.

  4. Wait for your Square booking confirmation email. All requests are reviewed within 48 hours. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact the VP Student Life at vpstudentlife@dallss.com to verify the state of your booking.

  5. Create a Square account for your society at https://squareup.com/signup/ca?lang_code=en

  6. Download the Square - Point of Sale app on the phone that will be used to take payments.

 

Note: In case of loss, theft or damage while on loan, the replacement value of the Square will be charged to the Society.
